1. Introduction
1.1 This Cookie Policy explains how Squinted Ltd (“Squinted”, “we”, “us” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on the Squinted website and mobile application (the “Platform”). 1.2 A cookie is a small text file placed on your browser or device when you use a website or app. Cookies and similar technologies help the Platform function, remember your preferences, keep the Platform secure, and help us understand how it is used.
1.3 Squinted only utilizes local device storage that is strictly necessary to operate the service (such as maintaining your secure login session and processing payments) or to remember preferences you explicitly select (such as dismissing onboarding guides). Because we do not use advertising or non-essential tracking cookies, we do not issue consent popups.
1.4 The Squinted app contains links to external partner services, including Stripe for seller onboarding and payment processing. When you open these external links, you are visiting third-party domains outside of our direct control. Third-party sites set their own cookies and handle data according to their respective Privacy and Cookie Policies.
1.5 Strictly necessary cookies are always active because the Platform cannot work without them. Any other cookies are set only where you consent.
2. Categories of Cookies We Use
2.1 Strictly necessary cookies. These are essential for the Platform to work – for example to log you in, keep your session secure, process payments and remember your cookie choices. They cannot be switched off through our consent tool, and no consent is required for them under applicable law, although you may block them in your browser (which will impair the Platform).
2.2 Functional Local Storage. These remember choices you make (such as display settings) to give you a more personalised experience. They require your consent, and if disabled some features may not work as intended. For example, we use local storage technologies (such as React Native AsyncStorage) to enhance app functionality. This includes remembering your UI preferences and maintaining active login sessions. These items are stored locally on your device and are not used for cross-site tracking.
2.3 Analytics cookies. We do not currently use analytics cookies.
2.4 Targeting and advertising cookies. We do not currently use targeting or advertising cookies and do not serve third-party advertising. If this changes, we will update this Policy and obtain your consent before setting any such cookies.
