Honesty is the best policy! Use these categories to tell your frames' life story. Remember, even if they aren't perfect, there’s a face out there for every pair.
- Mint (The "Like New" Pair)
- Great (The "Lightly Loved" Pair)
- Good (The "Daily Drivers")
- Fair (The "Project" Frames)
- Pro-Tip: The "Flaw Feature"
These are the ones that lived in their case and barely saw the sun. The Look: No scratches on the lenses, no scuffs on the frames, and the hinges are nice and snappy. The Vibe: It’s like they just walked out of the optician’s boutique. No need to squint here—they’re flawless.
You wore them, you loved them, but you took great care of them. The Look: Maybe a tiny, invisible scuff on the arm or a microscopic mark on the lens that doesn't affect your vision. The Vibe: Still look brand new to the casual observer. You’d have to really squint to find a flaw.
These were your go-to pair and they’ve got the character to prove it. The Look: Minor surface scratches on the lenses or some slight fading of the logo on the inside of the arm. Hinges might be a little loose (but totally fixable!). The Vibe: Perfect for someone planning to re-lens them anyway! A solid, stylish frame with plenty of life left.
These have been through some adventures. The Look: Visible scratches, perhaps a bit of "stretch" to the fit, or significant wear on the finish. The Vibe: Priced to move! These are perfect for someone who wants a designer look on a DIY budget.
If there’s a specific scratch or a nick, don't try to hide it! Zoom in and take a "Squint-Shot." Why? Buyers actually trust sellers more when they point out the imperfections. It shows you’re a real person being totally upfront.
